Okay, I guess I don't need to know who the victim is. It would be really horrible if it's Nico or Felix, but something really sad could be fun. There's a lot of characters where I can think of the in-universe explanation.

Really enjoying this setting. Haven't talked too much about the settings but all the chapter settings have been great. I love this weird monopoly board but it's really creative like it could've been in any game and not overlapped with anything.
Although, maybe it's based off of the Clue board?

This funny scene in the bar was really fun. It did some work to undo some of the drama though. I think Xhuli made a good impression on the poors.
I will have to make sure she’s suitably unhinged though towards the end of this DL. Either way the murder could fit her character though.
Let me know if you have guidance.

I can't remember 100% at this point, but I'm pretty sure I was inspired by F3's Cluedo chapter yeah.
This event will change things for Xhuli, I'm sure.

You had spent some time planning a murder. It was an exciting prospect! There was too much out in the real world that you'd been denied for so long. You couldn't just stay stuck in here.
Not content with something simple and dull, you concocted a plan involving a bootleg trap. It might work, it might not, though you probably wouldn't get caught either way. This, too, was a new experience, so you wanted to really explore the concept. Creating a ramshackle trap from the parts available felt like you were in a movie or something.
You used the Workshop to create the basic components, and rig up some electronics. You needed a metal tube, some kind of projectile to fire out of it, and a firing mechanism. For the latter, you took apart a console and rewired it. Now when it received an 'on' signal from one of the wireless controllers, an exposed connection would make a spark. This way the trap could be triggered remotely.
The exposed wires from the console were attached to the base of the tube. Inside this, you placed a Tân (Fire) explosive pellet, which would detonate when lit by the spark, followed by a sharpened metal rod which would be propelled out by the explosion. For all you knew, the contraption wouldn't even work properly when activated, but that was just part of the fun.
You hid this contraption inside a bin in the Kitchen. At the current time of day, no-one was likely to go there for a while, so you wouldn't be tied to the scene. You then placed a Larwm (Alarm) rune at the entrance. When you received notice that someone had entered, you could activate the trap and hopefully shoot them with the arrow.
Now the trap was set, you left the area and spent a bit of time elsewhere. Then you headed over to the Bar. You'd already prepared this step in advance: a DamCube controller had been glued to the underside of the counter, where no-one was likely to find it. The Bar usually had at least a few people hanging around in it, so it was a good place to fake an alibi. Upon entering, you headed behind the counter to practice mixology. This was a wholly in-character thing for you to do, so no-one would be suspicious.
Some time passed. Soon you received the mental signal indicating someone had entered the Kitchen. You nonchalantly reached under the counter and sent the 'on' signal. Time to see how well this would work.
Not long after, the body discovery alarm rang. Perfect. The others all hurried out of the Bar. You lingered a moment to wrench the controller off, before following after them. The Game Room was on the way to the scene, so you could simply drop it there as you passed through. Meanwhile, you had planted a decoy controller in Hawk's bedroom earlier. It was a very sloppy red herring, you knew that, but all good murders had red herrings! It probably wouldn't work, but you wanted to really embrace the role, foibles and all. It was a performative red herring.
Once you encountered the scene, you discovered that the trap had failed. Oh well. There was always next time!

I really like this actually but I am having a tough time showing off my personality changes (even though I keep posting every two seconds).
My apologies to anyone if they wish I was doing less! I just am really enjoying the game.

I think it’s really epic that I got to casually drop that I used all my magic and i evaded suspicion in the thread. Now I feel like the solution will be seen as really clever when it’s revealed.

Oh it would be a really fun story beat to have Xhuli call out the others if they don’t come. I don’t want to force the other gamers into the scene through a direct call-out if they feel like it would be more IC if they were here the whole time.

Worth it to take a post to really compliment Joker here. I’ll probably do it again before the end of the game but it’s been great having him being able to post pretty often. I appreciate his contributions to the daily life’s and to Nico is a well-done character who adds a good level of depth to the cast. The backstory with his friend is really cool. Maybe I should bring it up soon.

Oh and since I didn’t already do it:
Su-Ah: This character was so fun! I liked her initial ephemeral nature and as she became more attached to the cast and more personable she mixed in her cool nature with her more grounded side and it worked well. Obviously it’s a big boon that NIKI was able to make all the excellent art for her. Evil face , crying face, and dress were all great. Also I think a good friend one story is really powerful and so the arc with Su-Ah and Yugi was perfect (plus all the additional stuff like Yugi looking up to her). Her motivation for murder was interesting and I really liked how she felt believable as a killer but still tragic.

Also update:
Neuron: What a weird guy. His mercantile zaniness was so good though and all the scenes of his strangeness are so good. I do still wonder if he was actually a threat to anyone or not. Now that we know that he was a cop trying to investigate someone in particular (is it just Felix/his dad or is there more to it?) I really like how he foreshadowed that. It was also a cool idea to be an assistant teacher. He added a lot of variety to the roles of the adults.

Also I really appreciate the pace of this game being so snappy but I wouldn’t mind getting another 5 or 6 day DL here. I want to do the pool party and the sleepover no matter how silly. I’m fine if trial goes up on Friday though no problem.

I love all the complexity of the interactions. Lots of good stuff going on in the story. It feels like a really cool group where everyone has a role.
Worth saying that I really like how Satan has handled Hawk. He has a strong dynamic that places him on unequal footing with everyone else but it’s really well-done.

No idea what this case is going to feature. Obviously someone will kill me but idk who. And I have a victim idk who.
For now I’ll say most tragic result is me killing Yves and Nico killing me.

One thing that might not happen anymore is Halloween. That would be an awesome event. If it happens after I die that’s okay but it would be so epic.
Not sure what Xhuli would dress up as. Firefighter maybe?

Really working for that post count here huh
I was definitely aiming for a snappy pace, after like every previous game after F3 overran. But I'm totally fine letting the DL run a bit longer if people want it to (and I said as much in the Discord as well).

Sometime after the failed Kitchen trap, Calvin cornered you alone somewhere. He seemed to have something to say, but you made sure to get the first word in.
"What is it? Sad to say, but you're the first to want me all to yourself like this," you said, smiling wryly.
"Quiet, you. I don't have time for your games," Calvin replied impatiently. His tone shocked you. Where was his usual corny accent? "I found something during that investigation a while ago. Real interesting implications."
You watched as he pulled out a small piece of wood. It was mahogany, and looked to have been chipped off of something. He turned it over, making sure you got a good look at it, and you saw that one side had traces of glue with a lime-green tint on it. Your eyes widened as you realised the implications: it was evidence that you'd set the trap. You made an impulsive grab for it, but he whipped out his ever-present pistol and held you at bay. You reluctantly stepped back, not wanting to risk causing a scene, even if you felt you could probably take him on.
"Good, seems we're on the same page here," Calvin continued, grinning. "I know you did it, and now you know that I know. Now we can bargain."
"What do you want?" you replied, scowling. "And what happened to that friendly cowboy act? People keep getting on my case like I'm an imposter, but I've only been honest this entire time! Meanwhile, you're what, secretly the Ultimate Desperado or something?"
"Outlaw, actually. Name's Darren Alder. I'll spare you the details for now. All you need to know is, I want to get out of this place. You need to get out of this place. We can work together."
"Partners in crime, huh? I can work with that! Except I have no reason to trust you. What would we even gain by working together?"
Calvin - or 'Darren', you supposed - tossed the mahogany chip in one hand, like he was flipping a coin. "For one, you don't have much choice in the matter. But relax, I don't want to resort to threats if I don't have to! See, I need that Alcemi spell. Transmuting any metal into gold? I'd be set for life! Problem is, it's Sin Level 5. So here's the deal. I need someone to kill first, so my Sin goes up. Once you're out and we move on with this merry game, I'll bag my own kill, get to level 5 and walk away laughing. We both get what we want! I'll even help you out. Remember the chaos last trial? Having an accomplice practically guarantees you'll get away with it."
You eyed him carefully, weighing up the offer. You couldn't quite trust him, but he made a good case at least. Besides, you were sure you could fend for yourself if he turned on you. Your new form was quite the gift. Eventually, you said, "Exposing me in the trial would be a bad move, as I could just expose you in response. Even without proof, everyone will become wary of you, making it that much harder to kill one of them. So we're bound together. Neither can betray the other without destroying themselves. I like those terms." You giggled brightly, but there was an undertone of menace to it that you couldn't quite hide. Things were getting interesting now. "You should have revealed yourself to me sooner. We could have had so much fun together! Well, alright then. What do you have for me? I assume you came to me with some kind of a plan?"
Darren quickly glanced around to check for eavesdroppers, before pulling a card out from his pocket. "Remember that chest in the Lousy Bedrooms? I found it first, and looted it. Inside was this little fella." He handed it over, and you read the text printed on the front: Get Out Of Jail Free. You turned it over a little sceptically, examining it. "Go ahead and try it out. Heck, I'll try it first if you don't believe me. It really works."
"Well, it is on-theme for this place..." you replied, pocketing it. "If it's genuine, I can definitely make use of it."
Darren nodded, before saying, "Now, I don't want anything to do with your plan. That's your business. The more distance I put between ourselves, the less likely anyone will tie the murder back to me."
"How thoughtful of him," you thought sarcastically. Still, you'd already had a new plan brewing, so you appreciated that you could go ahead with that without his interference.
Darren continued, "However, I can give you some information you might find useful. I happened to hear that bear talking with the other demons earlier. Apparently he's planning some kind of game that he's going to make us all play. Whatever it is, I'm sure it'll keep everyone occupied. Might make it easier to catch someone: right now everyone's on guard because of your stunt earlier. Make of that what you will."
"Hmmm... Ever so helpful, aren't you? I can tell you've thought this through. How exciting! I look forward to our further cooperation... or lack thereof, if you're choosing to stay uninvolved from now on." You held out a hand for a shake, and Darren took it, sealing the deal. After that, he left, not wanting to be seen hanging around with you.
In the days following the encounter, you experimented with the Get Out Of Jail Free card. It was simple to use: hold it up to the electronic lock on the door, and it would open, same as if 36 hours had passed. You couldn't find any trick to it, any other way to open the door. You made sure to do this in secret, of course. It was tempting to pull a prank with someone using the card, but it had a far more important use and you couldn't risk anyone finding out about it.

Very excited for the case now. Sad that I'll be dead for it because I'm enjoying the game so much but I think I've officially overplayed my hand.
Like, I don't think pushing faye in the pool would have been that crazy and gotten so many people mad at me and think I'm crazy, but me holding her over the pearl was too far, lol!
But I needed to do this for my characterization.
I guess I should try to fit in a more sensitive moment before the DL ends.

This scene with the pool goes very hard though. Glad I got to push Faye and Caitlin into having a big moment again. It's funny because my motivations align with Xhuli's - I just want everyone to have their ultimate school life experience.
Hoping to make this one of the longest chapter 3s possible.

I've officially used all my themes with my use of Girls in Bikinis. I almost used it when Xhuli showed up, but the Panic at the Disco songs were better.
Also - I thought maybe i had something to do with Calvin's missing hat, but surprisingly I don't? Maybe it's the other victim of this chapter.

Some thoughts:
Caitlin - Love this from Caitlin. Obviously, Caitlin is pretty sympathetic. I feel bad for her story of hunting after her sister and being called a fraud/idiot. I think she works giving these antagonistic / independent vibes. This scene was awesome with her getting so mad at Xhuli. I also like her general vibe as being very affected on the inside but a healthy amount of stoic-ness on the outside.
Faye - This was so cruel but also so good. I don't really understand yet what Faye is feeling on the inside but it's very fun for her to say all this to me. And maybe that is fitting because IC Xhuli probably over-looked her before.
Also, I still kinda regret throwing her in.

Like yeah, I feel like if you compare this to classic chapter 3s it hits a lot harder than like F3-3 or F4-3 did during the DLs. Like this is really solid.
I wonder if I can get anyone to bite on a halloween scene to add to it.

You know what? It would be fun to have Xhuli be a cool person for one final scene before she murders and gets murdered.
That would be epic.
Hoping to drop some wacky hints that she's the killer in her two FTEs during the trial.
