“Yu-gi-oh! has nationals though! If we want to elevate our school to the national scene, we should devote all our resources to Yu-gi-oh!” Yugi objects to Kameron’s statement about changing the club to be general board games. “It’s not like we can get that level or recognition playing Clue!”
(The teen goes back to talking with the caterer on the phone, wait did they hang up on her? Just because she was talking about Yu-gi-oh?)
“Oh and I’d love to be a part of an explorer’s club!” With her hands she is dialing a different restaurant.

"N-national scene? Isn't it just a card game?" Kameron stammered, quite taken aback by Yugi's fervour. "I'm more of a sports guy myself; this isn't my area. If it's that big a deal, then I'll support you all wholeheartedly!
"Anyway, I spend a lot of my off-time trekking through nature and taking photos. Man, I've got so many ideas for this explorer's club already! I'll happily listen to your suggestions if any you have any specific activities you want, too. Trying new things is what an explorer's club is all about!" He was very pleased by all the interest, especially given he made the club up on the spot just a minute ago.

“Of course it has a national presence, Mr. Fields! It’s a very popular card game! We need to support Yves the best we can by providing her with a healthy club!”
Yugi hangs up the phone, having ordered the beef and one cowboy chili for Calvin.
“Is there anything else we need to do today? Where are we staying, Hawk? Mr. Fields? Neuron, sir, where were you thinking of having us eat? Should we rent a space downtown?”

If it's that big a deal, then I'll support you all wholeheartedly! Yves nods in response to Kameron's rhetorical question, even though she's been in the backseat for the entirety of the club-forming discussion, like a Des Frog on a des log. Oh god that joke is not going to land " Yu-Gi-Oh!'s a competitive card game," She puts emphasis on 'competitive' by doing air quotes just above her bag, "and the official tournaments go up to the world championship level... Even most of the tournaments held at card stores and other small venues, and stuff are sanctioned and give exclusive packs to entrants, but those aren't a part of the um... championship circuit. Regional tournaments are stricter on entry, and are on a lot b-bigger of a scale, than locals-- the small-end tournaments, I mean-- and if you win a world championship qualifier, that's uh, regionals, you can call them either, you get invited to, well, the world championship. And then there's the championship series events that are different from..." Once she realizes she's started to ramble, Yves clears her throat and shrugs her shoulders, wringing her hands together, "I, uh, know all of this because my family's shop is uh- runs tournaments, every week. And, well, I play the game too, so, I know all of that since I compete..."

"Despite being a teacher, I get the impression I'm going to learn a lot here!" Kameron chuckled. He'd listened quite attentively to Yves, even as she rambled. "Much more than a children's card game, it sounds like. No wonder it was worthy of an 'Ultimate' title!"
He then addressed Yugi. "Your rooms are ready for you, and your belongings have already been taken to them. Student dorms are in the west wing of the building - that's this one - while staff dorms are in the east. Though, I'm unclear on your role here, Ige," he said to the assistant. "Did you come to help Sugita settle in, or are you staying here full-time?"

"Oh, I'll be out of everyone's hair once Sugita arrives," Ige assured, giving a polite bow. "After making sure his accommodations are up to his standards, there's no reason for me to hang around."
Ige suddenly looked very peaceful. "Imagine...an entire semester with him, gone..! That's months of paid vacation..! No cooking food, no making the bed, no dealing with all of his PR nightmares...I can see it now. Peace and quiet! Kehehehe!"
The overworked assistant let out some devious laughs before collecting himself. "R-Regardless...I'll need to make some calls later and make sure there aren't any issues. But until then, can I take someone's jacket? Maybe grab someone a snack? Or perhaps someone needs a massage?"

Isadora felt her concerns weren't adequately addressed, but didn't pursue the matter further. Death was inevitable for everyone anyway. If it happened to come today for someone, so be it.
"If we are having a dinner, then I feel it is necessary to mention that I only eat raw meat." Isadora said, smiling at Yugi. "But that is very kind of you to organize for everyone. I have never played a board game before, but I've heard they can be great fun. I hope my heart can take it."

Yugi’s eyes bug out of her head, “Of course! I am hoping to get into student council and you can’t do that without proving your worth!”
She picks her phone back up, “Hey it’s Yugi from SHSL… Yeah, so can we get the steaks cooked individually? And one, uh, uncooked?”
She covers the receiver, “Does everyone want rare? We can always get Felix to cook it more! Unless that’s too much work for him.”

Korrigan observes and listens to the ensemble of voices and club activities and the energy behind them. However, Korrigan shakes his head to Ige's questions. "It may sound a bit strange, but I genuinely think you will want to savor this piece of time to recuperate. Take a breather. We'll find Sugita. Actually..." Korrigan attempts to put some dots together. "No, nevermind. Was wondering if he would be the type of person to already know where his dorm is located and try to sneak in through an abnormal entrance." Korrigan dismisses himself. "But in all seriousness, please feel free to relax as much as your mind will allow you." Korrigan reaffirms, nodding from his chair.

In response to the music professor words, Neuron concurs. "Agreed. I've been in a similar situation to you. Us assistants always get the short end of the stick after all." He softly giggled.
"Once he arrives, you can enjoy yourself a nice long rest." He said as he tries to put his hand on the pitiful assistant's shoulder, in an attempt to comfort him.

[Scene change request: school cafeteria at dinner time. Feel free to delete if ur panda]
Yugi finishes driving to get food, or having it delivered, or having one of the teachers or students go out to get the food.
The cafeteria looks pretty drab so far unless someone bothered to decorate. Yugi herself was far too busy with everything to do anything special. She has been so busy all day that pretty much nobody has seen her.
She dumps a pile of food on the table and collapses in an exhausted heap. “Glad everyone could make it!” She says with a huff. “I, uh, can serve people in a second…”

"Please. Allow me." Hawk smoothly interposed gimself between Yugi and the hungry, his hair tied back from his face. Picking up a simple plastic knife, he exhaled once before his hands flickered in motion, and equal portions (taking into consideration allergies and dislikes) of the foods were distributed upon plates.
Flicking the knife, he smiled. "Ah, I forgot. I never did introduce my talent."
His cloak floated up, revealing the oblong object to be a handle attached to a sheath.
"To use your words, I am the Ultimate Swordmaster. Though I still have much to learn."

Isadora was clasping her hands in front of her plate. The umbrella was mounted on her chair, creating a shadow between herself and the lamplight. It seemed that she preferred the shade even inside.
"Thank you to the animals who gave their life for this meal." Isadora recited aloud in prayer. She didn't want to be rude and force everyone else to go along with it, but she could not break her rituals. "Thank you to those who passed on and are watching us from the afterlife... or the shadow realm." She gave a teasing smile to Yves.
"May we all be so lucky to have our deaths bring such fruit to the living. Now be at peace."
She unclasped her hands. Her sentimentality, sorrow, and gratitude for life was so deep that it registered to everyone nearby, even if lasting only a fleeting moment for some.

“Ultimate sword master!” Once again, Yugi gawks from her spot at the table at Hawk. “Why are you in security when you could be a sword master all day? Are you taking apprentices?”
She then hears Isadora’s prayer and scrambling to show her own gratitude she stands up to pray along with Isadora, slightly behind the whole time.

Caitlin struggled to pray alongside them, having already inhaled half of her plate, though, she tried her best to vaguely mumble the words with her mouth full.

“Should we make a religion club?” It seems like this girl cannot stop herself from organizing things. “It seems like we would have quite a few members!” She means two, three including herself. She glances at Caitlin expecting agreement.
On her plate she took 3 bites of sushi and part of the cornbread. Mmm delicious.
She turns back to Hawk, “Wow Hawk, sir! That’s such a noble reason! Sadly, I don’t think I can pay for lessons! Especially after my conversation with the principal…”

Su-Ah sat quietly in her place. She seemed to be lost in thought looking in Isadora's general direction, listening intently. She smiled. Then she looked away.
"Swords are kinda cool, we have a decorational one back at home! Not sure why. I think my brother just decided to get it for no reason one day. Makes our little tailor shop look a bit intimidating, haha. :)" She played with the little red crystal on her necklace while marvelling at her EXPENSIVE dinner that she DESERVES.

Isadora cuts into her rare steak. It looks cold, unpleasant, and bloody. In Isadora's hands however it only looked beautiful and elegant, like it was the most natural thing in the world. How she held her utensils, how she chewed her food, and even the way she breathed was precise and practiced yet completely natural.
"It is the most delicious meal I've ever had. My highest compliments to the chef." Dear god, even her table manner was immaculate.
She turned to Yugi, "My religion is more... homemade. But I'll always be happy to spread my message if it means having more followers."

"So good..." He mumbled, in between bites of food. "Thanks for setting this up, Yugi!"

"Why not simply make a club for it? Then there would be no expenses for any who wish to join, unless they wish to pay. Ah, but please, allow me to organize this one in your stead."

Su-Ah stared at the raw meat. She kept staring at it. Until she took a small bite of her wagyu steak, which completely overshadowed whatever thought she was having before.
"Wow. WOW. No way. I downplayed all my expectations for this moment so it would be so much greater, but WOW. This is even more delicious than I thought...." She was now completely enthralled by wagyu steak and wagyu steak only, taking small bites to make it last as long as possible.
"Thanks to everyone who made this moment possible! I'll give you a 10% discount at my family's tailor shop."

Mikoto offered up thanks for the meal silently to themselves before picking apart their disposable chopsticks (or picking up fancy once if they were provided) before realizing they’d have considerable trouble eating a whole steak with just chopsticks. They sigh before speaking.
“Swords are indeed cool, friend.” Mikoto smiles underneath their coat. It’s impossible to see but it can be felt. “Though it goes much further then that. I would hate to lecture my new friends, however. As they say, you do not tame flies by spitting acid, but by instead offering them up a tender corpse to feast upon. I will share my wisdom only if it is requested upon me to do so.”
Then, Mikoto tilts their head towards Isadora, and listens intently at what she’s saying about food, thanking the animals for the meal, and about religion.
“I would very much like to hear more about what you would have to say. My village at home had its own practices, but I would love to hear more about what my esteemed friends and companions think and feel about the earth we are blessed to live upon.”

"Hehe... yeah, the uh, Shadow Realm..." Yves mutters, not actually making eye contact with Isadora, long after she and others had finished praying and the moment had passed, dunking a torn-off chunk of cornbread into her chili and desperately hoping it doesn't drip onto her favorite clothes.
She perks up when Nico and Su-Ah offer their thanks, hurriedly swallowing her second morsel of food and trying to piggyback off of them, "Right, thank you... Yugi. And, um, everyone else, involved." She raises her voice a little, slowly scanning around the table and smiling nervously before staring back down at her food and readjusting her awful posture, "This is fun, I think."
"I'd offer you all free boosters or something but I don't know if my grandpa would like giving away a bunch of stock like that, or well he'd probably be fine with it, he'd be glad I'm making a bunch of friends, or, well, I hope I am, but it'd still be a lot and I don't know if you'd be interested or care about something like that..."

Felix half-heartedly joined in the prayer; he wasn't particularly religious, but hey, it was better to be polite. As everyone seemed to be enjoying the food, some voicing their appreciation, Felix's cheeks flushed a slight red. Still, though, he couldn't help but bashfully grin at the compliments, though he did try to hide his smile with his hands. He knew he couldn't have done it without everyone else's help, but the fact that everyone was enjoying the food he helped cook was definitely a good sign. Things seemed to be looking up!

Yugi constantly glances over at Su-Ah, not looking her in the eye. She keeps looking at Su-Ah’s plate and making a pained expression, perhaps worried that she got Su-Ah’s order wrong, or maybe just scared that the cooler girl might waste it. She breathes a sigh of relief when she starts taking bites. Nico wasn't particularly religious, but prayed with the others to be polite. After finishing he begins digging into his food. "So good..." He mumbled, in between bites of food. "Thanks for setting this up, Yugi!" “No need to thank me! I’m enjoying the food just as much as all of you and I had plenty of help!” She gestures to everyone but primarily Felix. “But Nico, if you really want to help me, I did leave some stationary for you in the corner that you can use to write a letter of recommendation for me to get on the student council ballot or go to college!” She gives Nico a big grin and a thumbs up. Realizing that her religion club topic is going slightly astray, Yugi shakes her head at Caitlin, “Uh, I think we would just let Isadora take the lead!” She scribbles down some notes about a “Religion Club” and a “Sword Club”

At the comment of creating yet another club, he seems to exhale with a content acceptance after he finishes a bite of his medium rare steak. "Since it seems I'm one of the few remaining people who haven't taken up a supervisory role, if the religion club ends up forming, I will be happy to help oversee it. I expect it will comprise of civil discussions about various belief systems and their origins. At least, that's what would make the most sense." He turns to Yugi. "Thank you again for your incredible energy today with orchestrating this. Please get some rest after this. No matter how Ultimate you are, you are still human. That goes for all of you." Korrigan suddenly becomes more stern with his tone and points a fork at the general group. "This IS a school, yes, and it's meant to help you harness and grow your respective skills, but don't ever think that your worth is based solely on that, okay?" he concludes before cutting off another bite of meat and looking back at his plate. "Before you were Ultimate, you were and still are human. Ignore that fact at full risk." Korrigan goes back to eating.

I don't usually have a problem with lighting like this..." "I just prefer darkness. I feel it gives me a better communion with the dead, for they are swallowed in the great darkness forever." Isadora shrugged, taking another tiny and perfect bite of beef. "I must say you have a very fascinating talent, Faye. I do love a good mystery so if you ever need any paranormal assistance, please let me know. I would charge a very fair fee for any services. But if you share your skincare routine with me, I can waive the fee for your first request." She said genuinely and politely. “I would very much like to hear more about what you would have to say. My village at home had its own practices, but I would love to hear more about what my esteemed friends and companions think and feel about the earth we are blessed to live upon.” "I would love to share, but another time." Isadora quietly declined. "I do not wish to be the center of attention. Especially so early when we're still getting to know everyone."
