The lion awkwardly approaches Guille, and Sophilia's voice comes out.
"There's not really much room left for me to help." They glance at the various people reading through books and testing blood and whatnot. "...And I don't really know how to help with this stuff either, so, can we talk for a second?"
She pauses for a second, looking like she's daydreaming, but catches herself.
"The last time we were, uh, alive, you said that your last name was Glas. But you said you didn't grow up on the island, so how are we related?"
They tilt their head in thought. "Are you like my cousin or something that my parents never told me about? Who were your parents?"

Guille nodded as Sophilia reached out to him. "Right, we do need to discuss that. Though I dunno if there's much to really say."
After she'd asked her questions, he responded, "Well, uh, my parents were pretty ordinary people. I'd have gotten the surname from my dad, of course, but he never mentioned anything about other family, and definitely not an island. He was always very supportive of me, but that's just dad being cool." He chuckled awkwardly, before coughing and getting back on topic. "We grew up in a normal neighbourhood, like I said before. It's hard to imagine a connection to the island: from what I've heard, it sounds like it's kinda hard to leave that place? But my dad was just living a normal life, at least as far as I ever knew.
"There's no way it can just be a coincidence though. Not in Nuwmere's game. What do you know about your family, and their island? Let's see if we can work this out, figure out what the connection is."

"It's the Glas's family's island, we're the only ones who live there. It's supposed to be for all of us to share, so I don't know why you had to live on the mainland. Maybe our last names are just coincidences after all?"
They're holding their head trying to think of anything to work with.
"I really don't have anything. My grandparents never told me much about their personal lives. They were such nice people, I still can't believe that Grandpa's shed was connected to all of this. I was always told to stay away from there since I was really little. When Grandpa was in the suit with me he thought I was like 8... so apparently this has been going on for years and I didn't notice." They smack their head as if there's anything besides empty space in the suit. "I'm so stupid! I never even noticed that they were connected with Black Labs or whoever's in charge of all of this!"

"Hey, no need to blame yourself! If they're really connected to something as crazy as all this, they're probably very good at keeping secrets and stuff," Guille replied quickly. "Sorry I wasn't able to help, though. I suppose you could be right about it just being a coincidence, but... it's really hard to believe.
"So, if I understand it right, you somehow ended up controlling that suit after you went into that shed? So you're still on that island. Or maybe, this whole facility is on the Glas island? When I was kidnapped by Nuwmere 7 years ago, it was when I was scoping out Steeple Street, as there were weird rumours about stuff happening there. Pets were going missing, there was some kind of strange electrical interference, and people had been seeing someone sneaking around their gardens. I always assumed that Nuwmere's mansion was on or near Steeple Street, but the place was huge on the inside. All kinds of random-ass rooms and facilities and stuff, like she packed castles, factories, indoor gardens, casinos... Just all manner of strange rooms. And now there's all the rooms we're currently exploring: a dungeon, a library, a night club. Where could she build a facility this large? Do you think it's possible she's situated on some private island, away from police scrutiny? Like the Glas island? It might explain the connection to this game, if your grandparents are able to play."

She nods. "Yeah, I snuck into the shed, then someone grabbed my mouth and I woke up in the fountain."
They listen to Guille talk about his time kidnapped. "Mm, nothing weird happened before I was taken." Sophilia has a sudden insight. "Maybe you weren't kidnapped in real life the first time, and you were just in the shed like me!" They immediately take the insight back. "Oh, but you weren't in a lion suit the whole time, were you...?"
"There could be on another island with this facility on it. I don't know though, I've never left Glas island. Uh, what were your parents' names? Aunts and uncles and stuff, too. Maybe I'll recognize one of them."

"Oh, so you were still kidnapped? Or at least, someone intentionally forced you into this situation, same as the rest of us," Guille said, looking surprised. "Even if this game isn't taking place on your island, there's clearly some connection there, if Nuwmere or someone else was actually there in person to grab you."
After that, he answered her question with, "Gaia and Antoine Glas. I don't have any aunts or cousins or anything, at least that I'm aware of."

"My grandma's name is Artemis. And you already know grandpa's name. I don't think that helps though. Maybe our last names really are just a coincidence?"
Their voice grows worried. "I just realized that if I get out of here... my grandma isn't gonna want me on the island anymore. Where am I going to live? Are they gonna kick my sisters out too?" She starts pacing back and forth and twiddling her paws.

"Wasn't your grandpa playing from an entirely different year than you? It might be the same for your grandma! I don't even know how that works. Your grandpa didn't report you back when you were 8, right?"
He paused, then continued, "Either way, from what you told me, you were forced into this, right? If you explain it to your grandma properly, I'm sure she'd understand."

“Grandma didn’t seemed shocked that I’m 14 though, I think she’s the real one. And I can’t say I was forced to go into the shed, she always told me to stay away from there. Didn’t warn me about any weird kidnappings, but still.”
Instead of considering the worst possibilities, she just shrugs. Maybe these concerns don’t have as much impact after you’ve already died several times.“Talking about it doesn’t seem to fixing anything. And I don’t think we’ll figure out how we’re related. We’ll just have to get more information later… or maybe in another life.”
Her tone gets brighter. “Thanks for listening to me.” She lets out a chuckle, but she still sounds a little worried. “If I get kicked off my island for life, can I do Thanksgiving at your house?”

"Of course! Thanksgivings are always pretty small back home," Guille readily responded with a grin. "It's just been me and my dad, after all, so there's plenty of room at the table!" He already seemed more optimistic about the situation, now.
