"R-right, I'll, uh-" Yves scrambles to get out of her seat and looks around anxiously, "I should probably get a notebook and pen, or something, to keep track of everything..."
She starts making her way out of the cafeteria to do that, most likely, before heading over to the art room slash student council room.

Hawk washed out his mug, leaving it upside down in the kitchen. He didn't look quite as dead as when he walked in, but zombification didn't mean he was alive.
"Actually, Ms. Koizumi, I could use a hand in showcasing how to wield a sword. Correcting posture and so on. We don't have to move from here, either, if everyone is more comfortable staying here."

“It won’t be that complicated! Each pack of toilet paper is 36 rolls, so the multiplication is easy!” (This is the last thing heard from Yugi until the next scene)
(she looks regretful that she might miss what Hawk is planning)

[#spoiler=Part 1] Days passed. Despite the worries of some, nothing much happened, and the situation remained peaceful. Classes were held. The student council arranged a few meetings, though it was unclear what they could really achieve. Kameron's 'explorer club' was a bit limited here, but he used the opportunity to show off his camera to those interested, and they took some photos of the school and its surroundings. The Yu-Gi-Oh! club was surprisingly popular: it turned out to be a perfect way to pass the time while stuck indoors. All-in-all, the teachers' attempts to maintain a degree of normalcy appeared to be working.
Today was a day like any other. The landscape outside was ever-changing as the ice and lava waged their unceasing war, yet it was always ultimately the same. No time seemed to pass: there was no distinction between day and night, there was no weather or clouds, there was no moon to cycle between phases. Kameron felt the group needed a pick-me-up, to keep their minds off things.
He started with a group photo. Everyone gathered in their classroom, room 1-A, at 10:00. He wanted familiars in the photo too, so everyone made sure to summon theirs. Caitlin found she had a horrible, emaciated cow. Hella had some kind of crocodile: she informed everyone that it was an Aigialosuchus.
Kameron set about fiddling with camera settings to take the perfect shot. "Ah, whoops. One moment," he said, reaching under the teacher's desk and pulling out some batteries. "Been taking a lot of photos for the explorer's club, guess it's time for a recharge!" The students watched as he pulled the battery grip out of his ever-present camera, then changed the batteries. It was a smooth, practiced motion. "There we go. Now, timer's set for 5 seconds!" He quickly ran over to his place in the crowd, told everyone to say 'cheese!' like the goober he was, and then there was a flash as the camera took the picture.
No-one wanted to point out that Isadora was absent from it. For the most part, they all wanted to try and pretend things were still normal.
After this was a game of dodgeball in the gym. However, at this Ige drew the line. "Dodgeball? Are you crazy?! I played along with this stupid photo, but dodgeball? You're all out of your minds." He stormed out of the classroom.
"Yeah, I'm going to have to agree with him. No thanks," Kenji spoke up. He yawned, then headed for the door after Ige.
A few others followed suit. "I gotta acknowledge the corn here: my saphead familiar made a ruckus in the kitchen earlier. I'll face the dull music and clean up," Calvin said.
"I already had plans," Su-Ah added with a smile. "You all have fun though!"
"As for me, well." Hella gestured down at her ankle, which she'd twisted earlier. Kameron nodded in understanding.
That left 11 people. They all headed off to the gym to get changed, while the 5 others went about their business elsewhere. 1-A was empty by 10:10.
[#spoiler=Part 2] The staff had their own changing rooms, separate from the students; Kameron locked the door behind him after the others went in. Meanwhile the students separated off between the three changing rooms and got ready. Mikoto was particularly interested in the gender-neutral room, something they didn't have back home.
There were only a few students in each room, with Mikoto having a room all to themselves. It was a stark reminder of how small their 'class' was, that even the busiest of the three only had four girls in it. Unfortunately this somehow only served to make it more unpleasant in there, with Faye and Caitlin butting heads, Yugi ineffectually trying to keep the peace and Yves trying not to bother anyone in a corner.
Felix and Nico meanwhile chatted happily as they changed. The conversation turned to cave exploring, particularly the really claustrophobic sections, and then Felix glanced over at the vent in the wall. "Reckon you could you squeeze through that?"
Nico laughed, and headed over the vent. He flipped the grate up and poked his head inside. "No way! I'd have to become a contortionist for that." His voice echoed in the tight space, and for a moment he was reminded of real caving, back home.
He pulled back, then stopped short. "Uhh... Little help? I, um, got stuck," he called out sheepishly. The grate had slipped from his hands and gotten caught in his hoodie, and his position made it too awkward to reach back and untangle himself. Felix snorted with laughter and helped the speleologist out, then the two finished changing and went to join the others.
The students all finished first, then waited in the gym for the staff. Soon Kameron unlocked the door and they filed out in St. Hope's tracksuits. Kameron fastidiously locked the door again. It was a rare sight: he wasn't carrying his camera for once. Presumably it had been left in the changing room. Korrigan meanwhile was still in his SOS outfit, and said he would sit out, instead providing music for the event. The time was approximately 10:15.
Kameron did a quick head count, lingering on Nico with a slight smirk. "Bit of advice: don't play with the vents," he said. Nico blushed uncomfortably; his voice had probably carried all the way through the ventilation system.
Now that everyone was ready, Kameron sent Yugi to fetch a ball from the storage room, and then the game began. They split into teams on either side of the court, while their familiars watched from the ends, cheering everyone on.
Kameron had made a good choice here. The game was a great way for everyone to let loose, have fun and destress. Faye and Caitlin were on opposite teams, and exclusively tried to take each other out. Yves, not one for sport in the first place, was a large target and was first out. Kameron and Hawk took opposing sides to keep the teams balanced, and weren't playing too seriously, with the exception of occasionally throwing powerful shots at each other to try and catch them by surprise. Felix surprised everyone with his skill, until a miss-throw from Yugi happened to smack him right in the face. Nico and Mikoto were both quite good, being physically fit and active people, and made a few spectacular dodges during the game. All the while, Korrigan played the soundtrack to their game.
Neuron didn't stand out much at first, until all of a sudden he yelled Gwynt (Wind) and launched the ball with a blast of wind from his hands. The unexpected speed caught Kameron by surprise, and the ball bounced off his hands when he moved to catch it. He was out. "Okay, uh, good one!" Kameron called out with an awkward chuckle. "No more Gwynts though, okay? You might hurt someone."
"You're the boss!" Neuron replied, giggling as Kameron dejectedly made his way outside the court. The game continued from there, but it seems Neuron wasn't done messing around. If Gwynt was banned because it posed a danger to the other team, that just meant he'd have to use magic on himself instead. Perfectly within the spirit of what Kameron had said, right? When he next caught the ball, he crouched down, then cast Pren (Wood) at the moment he jumped. The wooden floor beneath his feet reshaped to give him an extra push into the air, launching him up so he could snipe Faye, who was currently taking cover behind Nico. She just about ducked out of the way, but it pushed past the rabbit ears that she'd refused to take off as it flew overhead. Did that count?
The debate would be postponed. As Neuron dropped down again, he landed awkwardly due to the misshapen floor and slipped over, banging his head when he fell. Despite people calling out in shock, he didn't stir.
Kameron ran up to him and checked on his condition. "Unconscious. I told him to stop messing around! Hawk, keep an eye on him for a moment," he said, before rushing over to the male staff changing room. He unlocked the door, went inside, then came out shortly afterwards changed into his usual clothes. "I'll take him to the infirmary. You all finish up here; don't mind me, I'll be keeping an eye on Mr Itsunoi so I won't be coming back."
He hoisted Neuron up, easily carrying the skinny man, and headed out of the gym. Hawk took charge in his absence, and the game continued. The time was currently around 10:35.
[#spoiler=Part 3] Hawk and the students played for a bit longer longer. A lengthy argument determined that Faye had indeed been 'hit', much to her chagrin. People moved in and out of the court as they caught stray balls or got hit, but eventually it was down to just Mikoto vs Nico.
Nico feinted, then launched a powerful shot at his opponent. Mikoto didn't fall for the trick, but was caught off-guard by the strength of the shot and judged it was best to dodge it. At the same time, Yves's familiar spontaneously burst open in a display of teeth, razors and scissors again, causing her to stumble in shock towards the court from behind Mikoto. She threw a hand out to catch herself, which knocked into the ball mid-flight. The ball bounced back, catching Mikoto in the stomach as they turned to follow it. They were out. Nico, and thus his team, had won. (The time was approximately 11:00.)
There was some discussion about what to do next, but without Kameron there wasn't as much of a push to keep playing, so the ball was returned to the storage room and everyone got changed back into their usual clothes. Hawk had the staff changing room to himself this time, so he was responsible for locking up afterwards.
Everyone exited the gym and headed off to do their own thing. It was now 11:05. Hawk and Korrigan checked in on Neuron, confirmed that he was fine (though still unconscious) and then left after Kameron gave the okay.
People generally separated off at this point. Some of the students got to talking and lingered in the foyer: Faye, Felix, Su-Ah and Yves, with Su-Ah having come down from her room to join them. Everyone else was generally unaccounted for. Time passed as they chatted away. At roughly 11:25, Korrigan passed through from the east wing to the west. 10 minutes later, Mikoto did the same.
Suddenly they heard yelling coming from the east wing. The tone was quite panicked, so the group of four ran over to see what the problem was. Standing there in the corridor, covered in blood, was Neuron. He pointed towards the infirmary and babbled something. Yves hung back, a strong sense of dread rooting her to the spot, but the other three spring to action and rushed inside. This occurred at 11:40.
[#spoiler=Part 4] Lying on his back in a pool of blood was their teacher, Kameron Fields. A brutal knife was protruding from his chest. He was dead.
[#spoiler=Investigation Part 1: Preamble] Felix cursed. Faye glanced around at the rest of the scene with a calculating look in her eyes. Su-Ah showed a bit too much interest in the body as she bent down for a closer look. "W-we should get the others," Felix said at last. Yves let out a horrified peep as she peered around the corner and caught a glimpse of the crime scene. "Um, Yves, you and Su-Ah should sweep the east wing for people first. We three will stay and guard the scene," Felix said kindly. Yves nodded mutely, then left with Su-Ah. Faye, Felix and Su-Ah made sure no-one went into the infirmary, and also kept an eye on the foyer nearby. No-one was seen passing through it. The pair found Hawk in the security office, Caitlin browsing the demon realm's internet in the computer lab, and Nico doing some student council task in an empty classroom. There was no-one else in the east wing. They were all brought up to speed and escorted to the infirmary. Then a larger group went to fetch everyone in the west wing, again leaving some behind to watch the crime scene. Korrigan, Kenji, Calvin, Yugi, Hella, Mikoto and Ige were all found scattered around the west wing. Hella seemed to be doing a little better: she could comfortably walk on her ankle, but probably not run on it. Soon everyone was gathered at the scene. This method of rounding everyone up meant they could be somewhat sure of where everyone was when they found the body. The foyer created a choke-point that meant no-one could have crossed from one wing to the other without the group guarding the crime scene noticing. [Twin demons theme: www.youtube.com/watch?v=CcMz3aAZDv4]Right on cue, Aardok burst into existence in a flash of light. Zofra was spotted lurking in a corner, looking like they'd been there the whole time. Aardok probably grinned as he took in the view. "Now that's some real carnage! I knew you guys had it in you!" he exclaimed. "Ahh, why do the fun parts always gotta be so short-lived? Now comes the boring bit. You all get one hour to investigate. Search this room, search some other room, search the fridge for a snack, I don't care. Once the hour's up, you all gotta meet up at the foyer. If I catch anyone still investigating after that... well, I'll crack your head open with this here spikey ball thing." There was a moment of silence. "Yeah, I don't really do subtlety. Deal." "...Golau... will assist you... greatly," Zofra continued. "Your... Spell Points... have been restored. Cast... the spell... as needed." "Casting spells also doubles as a good way to really hammer home a point during a trial! See, ain't we kind?" Aardok said. "Yeah, not buying it. You just did this so we couldn't check out how much SP everyone had remaining," Faye pointed out flatly. "Who me? Naw," Aardok blatantly lied. "That's all we came to say, anyway. Your hour starts now! See ya!" With another flash, he was gone, and Zofra disappeared as well.
[#spoiler=Investigation Part 2: Crime Scene] The players first checked to make sure no-one was hiding anything on their person. Everyone was clean. Neuron gave his version of events. He had been unconscious until just recently. When he woke up, he found he was covered in blood, and looked over to find Kameron dead on the floor. He leapt out of bed and bolted for the door, calling for help. Then the group from the foyer arrived. Next, Faye examined Kameron's body. Golau confirmed that he was dead, having having died of a single stab to the chest. The wound clearly matched the unusual shape of the demonic knife. He died within a few seconds of being stabbed. Time of death was between 11:20 and 11:40. Otherwise, there was nothing of note about the body itself, with Kameron having been in top physical condition. Korrigan picked up Kameron's camera, wondering if he'd managed to take a photo of the killer. There was indeed a photo on there that lined up with the time-of-death. However, the infirmary was empty in the photo. The only door into the room was closed. Korrigan positioned himself where the photo must have been taken, and confirmed that it covered most of the room; the only part outside the shot was the single bed. Some of Kameron's blood could be seen on the ground: at the time, it was still undisturbed. Now, however, bloody footprints led away from it, to the door and out into the corridor. They matched up with Neuron's shoes. Yugi had been eying Korrigan as he examined the photo, fidgeting as she waited for him to finish. The moment he did and there was a moment of silence in the room, she threw her hand up into the air. Korrigan nodded to her, and she pointed out what she'd noticed earlier: the camera's battery grip was missing, for some reason. Kameron always had one installed, despite the added weight he'd have to carry. Battery grips provided a better form factor and extended battery life; it was unclear why something like that would be missing. Su-Ah examined the bloodstains next. There was a lot of blood. Kameron must have been facing towards the bed, away from the door, when he was stabbed, as the blood sprayed out in that direction. He would have been standing a few feet away from the bed at the time. On the bed there's a clear patch left where Neuron would have been lying; Neuron of course had plenty of blood over him. As previously mentioned, there were also bloody footprints leading out of the room. People examined the rest of the room, careful not to disturb the scene too much, but didn't find anything of note. The single chair in the room had been knocked over: Neuron suggested that the killer threw it at Kameron to stun him, giving them the chance to stab the much-stronger man. Hawk pointed out that, given the chair's position, it's possible Kameron simply knocked it over when he fell. Lastly, Hawk took it upon himself to be the one to remove the knife from Kameron's chest to examine it. As expected, even the act of removing it caused more blood to spray out, which is why they'd left this for last. It was one of the bizarre, twisted weapons that Aardok had provided for them in the armoury. The design was likely intended to draw as much blood as possible, hence the resulting crime scene.
[#spoiler=Investigation Part 3: Everywhere Else] With the crime scene fully investigated, everyone split into groups to search the rest of the school. They split into 3 groups of 4, and one of 3. Four groups to explore the upper and lower floors of the two wings. The group of three exploring the upper west floor didn't find much. No-one's dorm room had anything unusual in it. The library had seen recent use, judging by the cup of coffee sitting abandoned on the reception counter. Another group scoured the lower west floor rooms. The kitchen was somewhat cleaner than it had been this morning, though Calvin's idea of 'clean' could use a little work. He'd started cooking something afterwards, from the looks of things. Other rooms showed general signs of activity too. One thing did stand out as this group searched: a small window in the corridor was unusually clear. Normally it would have been sealed shut by ice, but it must have been opened within the last few hours, as it hadn't re-frozen yet. While looking through the window, Caitlin noticed something on the icy ground outside. Nico forced open a nearby door, and the group carefully made their way over the ice to retrieve it. It was the missing battery grip, with the batteries from the morning still inside. Meanwhile, group 3 was tasked with the upper east floor. One of the computers in the lab was logged into Caitlin's account, though she'd closed the browser so no-one knew what she'd been up to. The armoury proved a bit more interesting, as they were able to confirm that a knife was missing from there. None of the other weapons had been touched recently, at least according to Hawk. Lastly there was group 4. There were fresh documents stacked up in the security office, while the other offices and the staff room seemed untouched. When they went to examine the maintenance room, Kenji impatiently walked inside and stepped a teddy-bear slipper right into the chemical spill on the floor. While he sat back and complained, the others concluded there was nothing to find there. They examined the gym next. They'd received the key to the male staff changing room from Hawk earlier. This was the only key to the door, and Kameron kept it on his person at all times out of habit, always ensuring the door was locked. They didn't really find anything of interest in the changing room however, nor in the rest of the gym.
[Updated map: i.imgur.com/NLh6tA4.png ]

Trial Once they were finished investigating, everyone reconvened in the foyer and discussed their findings. They also took this chance to examine said foyer, and the principal's office, but found nothing in either. When the hour was up, Aardok and Zofra directed the players into the elevator under the da Vinci statue. Aardok said he had been inspired by some other killing game he'd watched when designing this. "Do we have to?" Ige asked, eying the elevator with apprehension. "...You... may skip. The trial. ...However... you will regret. Unable to... defend... yourself," Zofra replied. Ige reluctantly joined the others inside. The elevator originally only did one thing: it went up and down, between the foyer and the principal's office. Now, however, it somehow dropped down into the ground and began accelerating to a dangerous speed, heading deep underground. A readout told them they were hundreds of floors below the surface, and still falling. Then, as suddenly as it had started, the elevator slowed, and soon they arrived at their destination: floor B666. They emerged into a grandiose trial room: a chaotic mix of fire and ice, light and dark, just as the surface world above. There were podiums set up for every player, so they all took their places. They looked around with a wide range of reactions, from fear to awe to apparent disinterest. Aardok addressed the players, sitting in a chair that was modelled like one side of a giant set of scales. Zofra was perched uncomfortably on the other side. "Okay, so, here's how this is gonna work. Talk it out, do whatever you've gotta do and try to find that killer. Once you're ready, vote for who you think did it. Now, we've learned from experience here: when voting, you gotta name a killer, and the person they killed. If we're ever in a situation where two of you guys cops it, this rule makes it clear what you're talking about, so you can't just bumble your way through it. By the way, in that double-murder situation, there's just two killers, two votes. No weird rules or nothing." Zofra spoke up next. "...You have all... formed many, wond...erous bonds. I... am pleased. Your... Innocence, is high. You... can use this... power. In the trial. Special... spells. Only once each. At... your level of... power, you... can cast two... diff...erent Innocence spells. Per trial. [#spoiler=Lifelines] Effigy Ritual (Hangman’s Gambit): All the characters jointly decide on a question to ask. The answer will be hidden, but each character gets to guess a letter. (Previous players can guess another letter only if needed to expedite the game.) The game will end after too many wrong guesses, depending on the length of the answer. No discussion on which letters to guess can take place. Clash of Wills (Rebuttal Showdown/Scrum Debate): Two (or multiple) characters argue on a point. At the end it’s be revealed which side was closer to the correct answer. Judgement (Climax Reasoning): One character is chosen to put together a numbered list of everything they know about the case. (The number of items in the list is determined by the GM). At the end, they’ll be told the first three incorrect items. Demonic Oracle (Logic Dive): One player is chosen to answer multiple choice questions about the case in a rapid fire manner. It ends when two incorrect answers have been given or the point of discussion has been resolved. (Other players can discuss what to do, but only the participant can make decisions.) Cleansing Flames (Spring Cleaning): Irrelevant or already-used evidence is removed from the evidence list, to better focus discussion for the remaining unsolved mysteries.
[#spoiler=Meta Notices] The only supernatural elements present during the murder were the players’ own magic spells and any location details that have already been explicitly stated. The location is otherwise non-magical and the NPC characters didn’t interfere in any way. Unless stated otherwise, any time a person is seen, their familiar is also seen nearby. It will always be explicitly pointed out if a character’s familiar isn’t with them. Care has been taken to minimise confusion caused by spells. Many spells are very situation, so have clear places they would be used and aren't applicable elsewhere. Some spells leave clear traces of their use, such as by being unable to be reversed on the same day they are cast, or by leaving something behind in their wake. If an object is created through magic, there will always be evidence of it existing (so you don’t need to worry about “what if the killer conjured up a weapon and then disposed of it somewhere we never found”). Otherwise, trial rules are as standard for these games.
Someone has been killed. The players are now at Sin Level 2. Who is the murderer hiding among them? The trial begins.

Mikoto shut their eyes and took a few deep breaths. Then, they offered a silent prayer for their deceased teacher.
...
"We should start with something simple. I think, at least?" Mikoto speaks up and eyes their classmates. "On the matter of Mister Itsunoi. Do we think it's possible this crime was committed by him?"
"I can see arguments for either side of this equation. I do think it's too soon to be certain, but I would hate to overlook the simplest answer. And if there is solid reasoning and logic behind why it could not have been him, then I think it may be best to all come to the same conclusion first, lest we distract ourselves with these other possibilities."

Calvin takes off the cowboy hat and held it close to his chest, out of respect for the deceased. "Rest in peace, Mr. Fields..."
"One of us have turned into a bad egg and went to beef Mr. Fields..." Calvin commented as he puts his hat back on. "While it may look like Mr. Itsunoi could be the bad egg here, but that would be too obvious, don't you reckon?" He directed the question at the others.

Hawk's face was unnaturally calm. His eyes were hard and flinty, practically glowing from under the hood of his brows. His hands gripped the sides of his podium, the creation creaking as his veins popped out in sharp relief on the back of his hands.
"Kameron was a good man," he said quietly, in a harsh whisper, his eyes sweeping the group arrayed before him. "I won't argue about whether or not he deserved this. But clearly, I have failed in my duties, and will redouble my efforts. That being said, there are more important matters to attend to."
He took a deep breath, and clearly forced himself to let go of the abused podium, though his hands remained as claws, twitching every so often.
"Kameron died through a clean knife thrust to the chest. No other wounds were found. I'd argue that whoever killed him took him by surprise... Though that would hardly be difficult in this scenario.
"Of those who are most likely, Mr. Itsunoi, I must label you as the prime suspect. Your arguably underhanded efforts at dodgeball aside, you would have been the last known person who was in the same room. Additionally, your footprints were the only ones found at the scene, though I would call that anecdotal at best."
His brows met thunderously, and his voice cracked as he glared.
"What say you in your defense?"

"There's no reason for mister Itsunoi to kill Kameron in a way that's guaranteed to get blood all over him. Not to mention do it while lying down, judging from the blood splatter." Faye said. Then, without missing a beat or changing her expression, she added: "I think Ige did it."

"Of course. Though, there is no reason to assume the killer here is smart enough to know not to get blood on themselves like that..." Mikoto pauses, nodding their head. "I do not think Mister Itsunoi is the killer. But it is always good to be sure of these things before we get too messy in debate."
"If we can safely cross him off the suspect list, we might as well continue doing the same. Assuming the four of you never left each other, that would make it impossible for either you, Faye, or Su-Ah, Felix and Yves to have committed this crime."
"I do not think it is possible to cross out any other names just yet."

Felix's face was pale and clammy, and he had clearly been swallowing down a panic attack during the investigation. Once in the trial room, he took in a deep breath, then slowly let it out. He had to focus.
"Mr. Fields was stabbed from behind, but Mr. Itsunoi was on the bed he was facing, right...?" he asked uncertainly. "S-So, um, I dunno if it could've been him. Since the blood splattered forward from Mr. Fields, it covered the bed and Mr. Itsunoi. I'm not really sure how else he would've gotten covered in blood unless he, like... purposely covered himself in it after he theoretically killed Mr. Fields. But that would take too long, I think."

"Between 11:20 and 11:40, the foyer was occupied, so I believe the killer must have crossed from the east to the west wing through the outside, entering through that unsealed window we found. This would mean you two that crossed through the foyer must be innocent."

I'm not really sure how else he would've gotten covered in blood unless he, like... purposely covered himself in it after he theoretically killed Mr. Fields. But that would take too long, I think." Hawk shook his head. "The wound was from the front, not from the back. It would be easier for anyone, even a non-skilled attacker, to target the heart from the front, and the blood spray matches being stabbed from the front. "After all, if he was stabbed from behind, one would have to drive the blade all the way through from the spine through the chest cavity, and there would be more blood behind where Kameron was standing."

"One question, Faye." Calvin injected as he gestured to Faye. "In order to unseal the window, you would need to use a fire source. However, we didn't find any kind of fire source during the investigation, did we? I reckon a fire spell was used. Except..."
"What Sin Level were we at prior to discovering the crime scene? If it was Sin Level 1, then it would poses a problem for the killer here, given that the fire spell was a Sin Level 2 spell." The cowboy asked as he places his hands on the podium in front of him.

"We start at sin level 1. As soon as they killed Kameron, we would already be at level 2, so the killer would have the spells they need to unseal and seal the windows." said Faye. "Of course, they can't freeze the window from the outside once they're already inside, hence the odd window we found. It tracks."

“Not quite.” Mikoto interjects this time. “To re-freeze a window and melt two would be 120 sp, which is over the cap, correct?” They ask, hopefully not missing something huge.

"T-This is what I've been saying! This wouldn't have happened if you guys didn't goof off and try to actually solve the situation!" Ige cried unhelpfully. His pathetic whelps likely went over everyone's head, but what really got his attention was the sudden accusation from Faye.
"Huuuuh?! Based on what?!"

Calvin nods at Faye. "My apologies. It seems like I wasn't paying attention to the magic spell lesson."
"... Actually, now that you mentioned it, Faye... I reckon the window was unsealed in order to dump the camera's battery grip outside. But why? What reason could the killer had to have the camera's battery grip in the first place?"

"Oh, God... Things were just starting to feel normal again, and now this happens..." Yves wrings her hands on top of her podium, shuffling nervously.
"I agree with Faye, I don't think Mr. Magno or Mikoto are likely to have done it, since we saw the two of you walk across the foyer, around the time of the m-murder, but..."
"Since it would cost too much, um, SP, to unseal the window we found, and then unfreeze and seal the window in the infirmary, they couldn't have crossed from the west wing to the east wing to... kill Mr. Fields, right? I just thought that was possible since Mr. Fields was stabbed from the front, facing the window and Mr. Itsunoi..."

His pathetic whelps likely went over everyone's head, but what really got his attention was the sudden accusation from Faye. "Huuuuh?! Based on what?!" "Because you sound like you'd stab one of us right now if it meant even one day out of this place." Faye elucidated. The SP cost question, though, she failed to elucidate. Apparently, it hadn't even crossed her mind. "... Well, do you need a fire spell to unseal a window from the inside? From the outside you'd have no grip, but maybe from the inside you could, I dunno, force it a little?"

Someone had the foresight to photograph the crime scene while they were there, using Kameron's camera. This provided a chance to re-examine it. It was clear, upon inspection, that the infirmary window was too small for a person to fit through. The other window, found open, was similar.
Everyone recalled the initial tour of the school, after it was taken to the Chaos Realm. With a bit of force, Kameron had opened one of the doors. A few hours later, it had been re-sealed by the outside elements. It was safe to assume the windows worked the same way.

"T-That's the weakest conjecture I ever heard!" Ige protested in response to Faye.

Hella sits on the back of her Aigialosuchus familiar. Her eyes scanning the group assembled to discuss the murder. Despite the situation she seems somewhat calm, although her eyes keep darting back to Neuron "T-That's the weakest conjecture I ever heard!" Ige protested in response to Faye. "I think it's sound you fucking, ah whatever." She interjects. "I don't think you could've done it without screaming your ass off personally." She looks off to the side for a moment.

Korrigan finds a gap in the conversation to pose something. "...Fingerprints? Or...what if the killer used the camera grip to get Kameron right where they wanted? A diversion?" His voice sounds gloomy, but it's a sincere inquiry.

"If the windows are too small for any of us to fit through..." Mikoto sighs, after having the evidence pointed out to them.
"Then we need to re-asses our thinking. If it is possible to open a window from the outside, without utilizing any spells, then our list of suspects remains quite large."
"However, if we find that crossing through windows to commit the crime is impossible, then we must determine another method, or accept the conclusion that only those who were on the east wing are possible culprits."

"Y-You ultimates are just ganging up on the normal guy!" Ige said, getting increasingly irritated (and irritating others) as his whining ramped up. "I-I got it! I'll prove my innocence by being an actively helpful force! Here's the truth: someone shrunk themselves to slip through the window! Or maybe they made the window really, really big so they could climb through, and then shrunk it again while climbing out."

"You cannot re-adjust the size of an object after doing so once," Mikoto spoke calmly to Ige. "Until the 12 hour time limit passes, that is. The killer- or the window- would still need to be large, or small."
